Congratulations on joining our CT State Community College Family!

To schedule an appointment for the placement test please call 203-285-2217 or 203-285-2519. In lieu of taking the placement test Gateway will determine your English and math course placement based upon your transcript containing your cumulative GPA (grade point average) and your SAT scores. Kindly upload a copy of your most recent transcript and SAT test scores ASAP to . Be sure to include your Banner Student ID number or your application G00 tracking number within your upload email message. We will then update your student record and advise you of your next steps by email at a later date.

The Center for Educational Services (CES) provides academic support services for students. The CES provides tutorial assistance and related services to help students become better skilled in selected areas. Computer assisted tutorials are especially useful for review and practice of basic skills, mathematics, English, and the sciences. All students are welcome in the center and are encouraged to use any of the services. Call to obtain information on office hours. Please keep in mind that budget restrictions limit the resources available each semester, and therefore services are most available early in the semester and can quickly become limited.

The CES now provides distance proctoring for online and paper-based exams from other institutions. Exams are by appointment only and must be scheduled and completed within our normal proctoring hours. Proctoring Services are provided for a fee of $35. Proctoring is provided Monday-Thursday 9:00AM – 4:00PM and Fridays 9:00AM – 2:00PM. To schedule an appointment please contact Natasha Jackson at or 203-285-2218.
