Undocumented Students

Recognizing that undocumented students make important contributions to the intellectual and social life of the campus and our surrounding community, Gateway Community College admits and enrolls students regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

Application Process

Undocumented students should contact the Admissions Office to speak directly with an admissions representative.

Cost and Financial Assistance

Undocumented students may be eligible for In-State Tuition (According to Connecticut Law)  Qualifying students must:

  • Have attended a CT high school for 4 full years
  • Have graduated from a CT high school or obtained the equivalent (GED)
  • Sign a legal agreement (affidavit) to confirm that they have applied or will be applying to legalize their immigration status

While undocumented students do not qualify for Federal Financial Aid, many scholarships and external resources are available to assist with the cost of college.  A list of scholarships compiled by CT Students for a DREAM can be found to the right.
