Registrar’s Office:

The Registrar’s office is seeking an energetic and dedicated student worker who has good oral and written communication skills. The individual will work as a member of a team and be expected to multitask, once trained work with very little supervision. We are seeking a student worker who is neat and clean in appearance and is punctual for work. This individual will perform a range of office support assignments while being exposed to new methods, processes, and procedures within the area of The Registrar’s Office. The essential skill for this position includes having a working knowledge of MS Office, photo copying, answering multi-line phone, filing and other duties as assigned. Primary Skills Required: Must have a pleasant attitude, good customer service skills, good computer skills, eager to work, punctual, be able to handle confidential information without incident.

Financial Aid Office:

All basic duties and responsibilities support the overall efforts of the Financial Aid Office. This will include but not limited to basic filing, photocopying, organizing documents, addressing and mailing of documents.  They will have student contact via phone or in person and will have the responsibility to review basic demographic information via the Banner system. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned or requested by the supervisor and other staff members when a specific situation arises. 

Admissions:

Student Worker/Work Study responsibilities will be to provide student service, effective customer service, and clerical support for the Admissions Office.  All basic office duties, including but not limited to answering students’ inquiries via phone, email and in-person, maintaining files, answering phones, assist with events focused on Admissions and possess customer service skills.  This person must be able to work independently and multi-task.  Must have computer skills, Word, Outlook, and Excel.  Must be professional and punctual.

Student Activities:

The student duties will include but are not limited to assist in the daily office operations for the Office of Student Activities, filing, organizing and cataloging inventory in our Storage Rooms, greeting and providing customer service to all who enter the Office of Student Activities Suite, available and willing to work in person and/or virtual events as needed, assist or implement special projects to help enhance the student experience, attend team meetings/trainings as required and other duties as required by office personnel.  Student must have customer service and communication skills, or is willing to further develop them team-oriented and collaborative player in any aspects of the Office of Student Activities and must be able to maintain an established work schedule in conjunction with the hours assigned to your work study.

Student Success:

The position has collaborative and cooperative relationships with faculty, staff, and students working in the Student Success Center. These relationships may involve a high degree of sensitive and confidential information. Work Study Employees are expected to represent the College in a positive and professional manner, and in a manner, which enhances the Student Success Center, in addition to the public image of the college, which is considered appropriate to the dignity of the institution.  Work Study Employees are accountable for providing support services to students and assistance to the staff of the Student Success Center. Library and Learning Commons:

Students working in the library are expected to have a high level of responsibility, professionalism, attention to detail, respect for others, and excellent customer service skills. In addition, students should be comfortable working with others and on individual initiatives, and maintain a pleasant disposition at all times. One of the most important aspects of the job is the ability to communicate effectively with patrons both verbally and on the phone during shifts at the circulation desk. Students will be trained on how library materials are processed, sorted, shelved, checked out, and checked in. Students will also assist library staff with special projects and general office responsibilities. 

Continuing and Professional Education

The role of the office’s work study employee include greet walk-in guests, administrative support, and answer incoming calls off the main lines, as the first level to answer questions, then appropriately triage more complex calls through introductions and transfers to departmental staff. As a work study student in the Continuing and Professional Education Department, the following responsibilities include receiving and responding to telephone and written inquiries.  For example: providing information about current and upcoming departmental programs, daily check-list: Filling/emptying the copy machine and shredder, retrieving/delivering mail, inquiry forms data entry, marketing material inventory and refresh, assisting with data entry, mailings, document preparation, invoices, and purchase orders, preparing, organizing and maintaining program records, upon request, and supporting the needs of instructor and departmental staff, upon request.  Full description available before interview.

Public Affairs & Marketing

The Office of Public Affairs and Marketing seeks a graphic design/marketing student helper to be responsible for the development of innovative and effective integrated marketing campaigns for various departments within the college. Utilizing skills, effective design principles and the latest graphic design software, graphic designers create visually stimulating designs for various events and promotions to reach target audiences. In addition, you would help with other office related tasks such as social media content development, strategy, and more. Other job requirements are: fine attention to detail, professionalism, dependability, and communication skills, prior experience with graphic design, exceptional decision making skills, experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Adobe CC preferred), and knowledge of marketing preferred.

Dependable, student friendly, able to work 8-10 hours per week (2 days)

Responsibilities: Welcoming students, answer basic questions, direct students to the correct department, assisting students with scheduling appointments in Time Center, registering first time clients, updating returning clients information, print Tutors schedules.
