Biography

Julie Kostka is a math instructor who came to Gateway in the fall with over 20 years of experience in post-secondary education. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University, with a focus on Robotics and Control Systems, she taught as an adjunct instructor and focused full-time on her two small children.

Julie returned to school as a non-traditional student at Northern Arizona University where she earned her Master of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis on Applied Math. She was a a full-time faculty member at Northern Arizona University, then Austin Community College.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys exploring local hiking trails with her dog Charlee and playing her ukulele.
