Associate in Science

The duties of a legal administrative assistant vary considerably depending on the specialty of the law office. However, all legal administrative assistants should be able to: prepare time sheets indicating the hours an attorney spends on behalf of various clients; prepare clients' fee and disbursement statements; and prepare appropriate documents for real estate, probate, corporate, tax, civil or criminal litigation, and domestic matters. Knowledge of legal terminology is essential for anyone seeking a career as a legal administrative assistant.
