Nov. 16: GCC Foundation to Hold its 14th Annual Hall of Fame Induction & Reception

The Gateway Community College (GCC) Foundation will hold its 14th Annual Hall of Fame Induction & Reception on Wednesday, Nov. 16, honoring three individuals and a corporation for their exceptional contributions to the college community.

The event, which will be held at the Shubert Theater in downtown New Haven, will begin at 5 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. The induction ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. Since 1997, the Hall of Fame event has served as GCC’s main source of scholarship revenue.

This year, the foundation will honor the following inductees:

  • Corporate: John Emra, AT&T (photo on left);
  • Community: Bishop Theodore Brooks, Beulah Heights First Pentecostal Church (photo, second from left);
  • Alumni: Edwin Martinez Jr., Space-Craft Manufacturing (photo, third from left), and Matthew Potochney, The Lighting Quotient (photo on right).
