Special Message from
GCC President,
Dorsey L. Kendrick

We mourn for the lives that have been lost to violence, and the families that are suffering because of these losses, and the world that is in turmoil because of all of the hatred and despair that exist.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder the hate. In fact, violence merely increase hate. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
So it is with each of us  at the college, let’s continue to be the beacon of light, the shining star,  the epitome of hope and the gateway to the future for the students we serve, the lives we touch and the futures we help others imagine.
Finally Dr. King said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.” Thank you all for shining so brightly for “our community of learners."
